You are here: Home>>>Gas Chambers>>>How you can help

We encourage you to push for elimination of gas. We hope we have made it very easy for you to do so.

Start at the top
Let Gov. Mark Warner (and now Governor-elect Tim Kaine) know you want gas outlawed.

Add that you want no facility in Virginia not now using gas to EVER use it again.

The Governor can outlaw gas chambers in Virginia by a stroke of his pen.

Push on the State Vet
Let the State Veterinarian, Richard Wilkes, DVM, know you want gas eliminated.

Add that you want no facility in Virginia not now using gas to ever use it again.

Dr. Wilkes can outlaw gas by a stroke of his pen.

To reach Dr. Wilkes:

Push on the jurisdictions still using gas
We have put together information on the 8 places still using gas. Consider a call, consider an email or fax, consider US mail, consider a letter to the editor, consider contacting the members of Virginia’s General Assembly who represent those jurisdictions.

Push on your own legislators
Let your own legislator know you want ALL gas gone from the Commonwealth. If we are unable to get voluntary elimination of gas (by the jurisdictions or by edict from the state vet or the Governor), then we will need to seek a change in the law by the legislators in Virginia. As you know, the session starts in 30 days, so it is time for you to tell everyone that gas must go.
