Virginians For Animal Welfare

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Financial contributions to this organization are tax deductible.

Virginians for Animal Welfare raises money for a variety of programs you have asked for, including:

  • spay/neuter programs
  • upgrading the animal control function
  • eliminating gas chambers
  • helping to establish groups in support of public pounds where no such groups now exist
  • take over operation of public pounds historically out of compliance with Virginia law

Some money is also be needed for staff, phones, and other expenses associated with running an office.

We will become more sophisticated and technical in asking for and accepting contributions, but for now, please join and contribute as generously as you can with a check. Simply fill out the membership form with your information and mail it back to us.  Please make your check payable to "Virginians for Animal Welfare".
