Mission Statement

Virginia Voters for Animal Welfare (VVAW) is an animal welfare group.

VVAW’s approach to the pet overpopulation problem is to advocate and work toward responsible government, responsible ownership, and responsible breeding.

VVAW’s mission:

  • educate the public and bring awareness of the pet overpopulation problem in Virginia
  • have strong humane laws enacted and enforced in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • have the resources provided to enforce those laws
  • reduce Virginia’s pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs
  • eliminate gas chambers
