VVAW met at 11:10 am on Sunday, 5/20/07, at the Rockwood Park Nature Center in Richmond, VA.

The meeting covered projects the group had identified in previous meetings as projects to be pursued.

After a brief general discussion, including several comments about the difficulty in dealing with the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors, Don Marro advised that ways to “overcome no” need to be devised. It must be clear that there is a story to tell, and ideally the newspapers are at county meetings, anticipating a story.

The group subsequently broke into two groups. One worked on tethering issues, and the other discussed funding issues.

The tethering committee decided to hold monthly meetings; they will be held on the last Sunday of each month at the Rockwood Park Nature Center. The next meeting for the tethering group will be on Sunday, 6/24/07, and will run from 10:00 until 11:30.
