VVAW - Alert HB339 still to be voted on
Some of you may have seen an earlier version of this. This is the update.
The vote yesterday by the Senate was procedural. The substantive vote to pass or defeat HB339 will be today.
If you haven't contacted senators, do so ASAP, or contact more and ask for their support.
The usual suspects are opposing, and are opposing with vehemence, so your support is critical.
Although HB339 is not a VVAW bill, we support it as going in the right direction, primarily be-cause it is a vehicle for enforcing compliance with state law which requires dogs to be licensed and obligates the proponents to make it work despite its inherent funding weakness.
It certainly is better than anything currently on the books.
All your message needs to say is that you support HB339 and you want the senator to do the same. Provide your name and address.
