Alert 4-21-07               Lost Emails & Regional VVAW Meeting Groups

1.   The violent wind storm here earlier this week caused multiple power outages here, and the result was that incoming messages from 4/2/07 through most of 4/16/07 were lost.

Please resend messages you sent here during that period, especially if you are waiting for a response.

2.   Regional Meeting Groups

a.   The Richmond area meeting group met for the second time this year on Sunday, 4/15/07.  This group is working hard to make change legislatively.  Minutes from the meeting will be posted in a few days.  Check the website:  www.VirginiaVotersForAnimalWelfare.com

This group is open to others who want to become involved.

b.   There are fledgling meeting groups in several other places which are also open to those who want to get involved and work – really work – to make change.  Here is the list to date.  Just send an email back saying which group you want to join:

Northern Virginia

Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania region

Charlottesville area

Tidewater area

Roanoke area

c.   In addition, there are a handful of people who would work with others – if others can be found – to have a group that includes

Culpeper/Orange

                        Dinwiddie
