Virginia Voters for Animal Welfare invites you to a meeting to discuss our 2007 legislative initiatives and strategy for next steps in 2008.
VVAW shepherded a number of bills
in the General Assembly this session, including the elimination of gas chambers
to kill
Below is a list of proposed regional VVAW meetings.
Each meeting will is scheduled for a Sunday and will run from 11 am until 1 pm.

on Saturdays in March in Wythe and
Please let us know which you will attend. (Specific locations will be announced closer to the meeting when head count is better known.)
We want you to get as many as possible to attend. We need you to invite and bring along others not yet sufficiently focused on animal issues:
Board of Supervisors, county treasurers, county/city administrators
chambers of commerce, economic development groups, Ruritan
churches, school administrators, teacher organizations
individual teachers, animal control officers, judges, veterinarians
We need you to get these people to the meetings in large numbers.
Meeting materials are being developed now, and will soon be available for you to use in recruiting people to these meetings (details later). You should distribute these materials to vet offices, pet supply stores, food stores, restaurants, book stores, shelters, business offices – in other words, places where those who love their pets will see the announcements.
