Alert 4/13/08 Virginia Kincheloe Needs Our Help
Virginia Kincheloe, a force in spay/neuter for Virginia’s dogs and cats, is battling cancer.
Virginia Kincheloe has been a major voice in animal welfare for years. Her vision and tenacity made possible a low cost spay/neuter clinic in the Fredericksburg area. Relentless with the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors, in March, 2000, the Virginia Kincheloe Spay/Neuter Clinic opened its doors when Spotsylvania County set aside 400 square feet in its new animal shelter for a spay/neuter clinic. Thousands upon thousands of dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered there, a very different outcome from the previous knee jerk system of mass euthanasia to control animal overpopulation.
Virginia’s daughter, Kimbra Kincheloe, has followed in her mother’s footsteps, and long active in animal welfare, now runs the clinic. Kim is also now helping her mother battle this cancer.
We are proud to know Virginia Kincheloe and especially proud that Kim serves on our Board.
Both Virginia and Kim need your thoughts and prayers.
