Alert 3/4/08   Court Watch – Warren County on 3/5/08

 

If you live anywhere near Warren County (the proceedings will be in Front Royal), PLEASE come to the General District Court tomorrow at 2 p.m.

 

Don and I are planning on being there.

 

Dr. Melinda Merck, who was extremely helpful with the Vick dogs, will participate. The complainant, Suzanne Ashby, is a Humane Investigator for Fauquier County where the dog was adopted.

Background:

During September, 2007, Joseph Paul Godfrey adopted a miniature pinscher from the Fauquier County SPCA. Two days later, he brought the dog to the Marshall Veterinary Clinic in Marshall, VA, with head injuries and hip dislocation, trauma which may be been the result of kicking. Mr. Godfrey lives in Warren County and is facing charges there of animal cruelty.

 

Dr. Melinda Merck, a veterinary forensics expert from the ASPCA, will testify.
