Here are December's cases - so far.

12/3/07 1 pm Sean & Sandra Burlarly/Wytheville - Wythe County (animal cruelty - dogfighting)

12/5/07 9 am Acholi/Fredericksburg (animal cruelty)

12/10/07 10 am Vick/Richmond (federal charges) sentencing

12/13/07 9 am Lomax/Spotsylvania (dogfighting and cruelty to animals)

12/14/07 9 am Taylor/Richmond (federal charges) sentencing

If you want information on one of the above cases, let us know. If you plan to attend, consider letting the Commonwealth Attorney who is involved in the case know that you will be there in support of their prosecution.

Please try to make one or two calls on this in the next week. Call your Commonwealth Attorney (bet that person is listed on the website for your county or city) or the Clerk for the Commonwealth Attorney and ask when the last animal cruelty case was heard, and if any are coming up in the next 4 months.

Next, please ask your ACO if he/she has written a complaint in the last year for animal cruelty, and ask what happened with the complaint. Perhaps there are none, and you live in a law-abiding place. Perhaps there are some, and we all should know what is happening.
