We need an outpouring of contacts – phone or email – to members of the House Ag Subcommittee asking those members to support HB3004, the bill to outlaw gas chambers.

While an incredible list of co-patrons has been achieved, we do not have the support of members of that Subcommittee (list below).

Of those on the subcommittee (marked with an asterisk below), only Del. Ken Plum is a co-patron of HB3004, and he deserves your thanks.

Please contact the delegates, particularly yours, and if a constituent, identify yourself as a constituent by providing your name and address. Say as a constituent, you want him/her not only to support HB3004, but to co-patron the bill.

Even if you are not a constituent, please make the contact.

If you have already contacted the delegates, do it again, and ask why he/she isn't a co-patron.

Let him/her know that at least 8 other senators (including Sen. Charles Hawkins) and at least 26 delegates are co-patroning HB3004.

Remind him/her that gas chambers are barbaric, more expensive to run than using injection for euthanasia, and are a safety hazard to chamber operators.

Also remind the delegate that this is an important issue for you.

Can you do that today? Can you get your neighbors and relatives to do the same?

This bill will be heard on Thursday at 7am. Certainly there shouldn't be a person in Virginia's General Assembly who can't support the elimination of gas chambers!
